If you’re anything like me, then you’ve been eyeing the recent NYFW runway shows and are curious about what’s going to be trending in 2025. I decided that I would compile some of the most prominent trends I’ve been seeing and reading about below.

Pops of Pink – I really think the “ballet core” era that we’ve been seeing lately is here to stay. So many designers, like Chanel and Miu Miu, are debuting a powder pink color on their runways. Lots of these colors are shown in loose, flowy clothing.

Micro Shorts – I am seeing micro shorts all over the internet, whether it be on my TikTok for you page or on runway shows. I think these are going to be especially popular for events and nights out in the spring/summer seasons. Expect designers to get fun with their micro shorts too and debut them in exciting prints and patterns.

Bohemian Influences – The 1970’s are calling, and they’re leaving a voicemail saying that bohemian influences in fashion and beauty are back. Designers like Chloé are bringing back loose and flowy fabrics that feature embroidery and beading.

Athleisure – Athleisure arguably never went out of style, but it’s going to be even more prominent in 2025. Think elevated basics – wrap tops over your sports bra and leggings or sweatpants paired with heels.

Butter Yellow – Butter yellow is almost going to be seen as a neutral for this year. Vanilla yellow is expected to trend and rise 11% this year alone, especially during April and June.

Asymmetrical Clothing – Asymmetrical clothing is everywhere on the runway. Whether it’s one-leg pants or off the shoulder tops, designers are leaning into asymmetry now more than ever.
