Feeling Blue

I was out at dinner the other night and I really liked how my outfit looked. I decided just to take some quick photos outside of the restaurant so that I could show you! (Sorry that I don’t have a variety of poses on this post.)

I have noticed recently that I have been wearing more blue. I think blue is a really nice color for summer but also for winter. One of my favorite blue tops is this one. It’s a crop top and has white and blue stripes going across it horizontally. It also has white buttons that go down the front of the t-shirt for detail. I have worn this t-shirt so much! I like to wear it with shorts as well as this skirt.

This skirt is a navy blue circle skirt. It is made out of stretchy material around the waist and it is very soft. I have actually had this skirt for a couple of years now and I have gottenĀ so much wear out of it! Since it’s navy blue, it goes with a lot of monochrome shirts but it also looks great with navy. I didn’t want to wear too much navy because I thought it might look overpowering, but I thought the white in the shoes and the t-shirt balanced it out. They still do sell skirts like this in Urban Outfitters even though I’ve had mine for awhile.

I went out to a restaurant that was nice but not too dressy, so that’s why I decided I would pair the crop top with the skirt and Converse. I also added my crystal cross bracelet and my Cartier love bracelet look alike in rose gold to add a few more accessories. (I also have a hairband on my right wrist…oops!)

I think pairing navy together is a great alternative to pairing black clothes with each other. I have seen a lot of people wear black and white tops with black bottoms. I think that if you’re trying to get in a little more color in your wardrobe this could be a subtle way to start.

You could take this top and pair it with some shorts or jeans to make the look even more simple. You could also wear the skirt with a nice blouse and some boots or flats.

Here’s what I’m wearing:

The Perfect Black Dress

I recently got this new dress and I knew that I had to make a blog post wearing it. You can style it with so many other pieces of clothing and it looks great whether you make it casual or fancy.

The dress I’m wearing is a black t-shirt dress. It’s from a brand called Knot Sisters, but I bought it at a store called The Closet by Sharon Segal and Nina Segal. The Closet was a really cute store and they had a lot of hip clothing pieces. I really enjoyed looking around there! I instantly loved this dress when I saw it. I really like how it fits. A lot of t-shirt dresses that I’ve seen are a short length. However, when I tried on this dress at the store, I found out that it is theĀ perfectĀ length! If you’re tall like me and want a t-shirt dress that won’t be too short, I recommend that you check out Knot Sisters!

Beides fitting well, the dress is really comfortable. It’s made out of super soft material and I love that the sleeves of the dress are rolled up. It gives it such a cute extra detail. Also, the back of the dress is a little bit longer than the front. It’s not too noticeable, but if you look at the last two pictures up above you can see it.

I paired my dress with a long moonstone chain with charms on it, rings, and my beige crochet boots. I love the boots I’m wearing! They’re so cute with the crochet on the side and I love the color. If you wanted to make the look even more simple, you could pair the dress with some Converse and take off the jewelry. To achieve an even fancier look, you could add more layers of accessories.

I really like that you can wear different styles of boots with this dress as well. I think it would look cute with ankle boots or even Dr. Marten’s.

This dress is perfect because it can be worn in so many different ways. I highly recommend that you get one of these dresses if you’re interested. They’re $75 and they’re made out of great quality. They have this dress in black and white stripes too!

Here’s what I’m wearing:

Black T-Shirt Dress from Knot Sisters (bought at The Closet by Sharon Segal and Nina Segal)

Beige Crochet Boots from Anthropologie

Long Moonstone Necklace with Charms (My mom put together the necklace for me. You can find the chain of the necklace on Etsy but my mom got the charms at multiple stores.)

Pink Quartz Ring from Sundance

Moonstone Ring from Sundance

Opal Ring (This is another ring that I found on vacation in San Francisco that was sold to me by an independent seller.)

Tassel Tattoo on my right hand from the Take Me To Goa Collection

Zoya Nail Polish in the color Nimue

Two Trendy

Yes, a pun is intended for the title of this post since I’m showing you two trends! Haha.

This is definitely one of my favorite outfits. The two colors go perfectly together. I also love that it incorporates two trends: the cold shoulder tee and patterned pants.

I have been noticing that a lot of people are getting interested in the cold shoulder tee. It’s simple but the little cutout in the shoulder really is what makes it a trend. It makes it cool and easy to wear with anything; whether the outfit is fancy or causal.

I personally am obsessed with printed pants. Even though the ones I’m wearing have a floral pattern on them, they can be paired with really basic tops and the outfit will still look classy. I love that my jeans are cropped too. It makes them even more perfect for the warm weather.

These two trends look great together. Even though the top is a white t-shirt, you really don’t need to wear a statement piece of jewelry because of the pants and the cutouts in the shirt. If it were a bit colder, you could throw over a denim jacket and it would look amazing. You could also pair this outfit with some flats and a headband to make it fancier. A really simple necklace or bracelet would look great as well.

These two pieces of clothing can be mixed and matched with so many other clothes and still look fashionable.

I paired this outfit with my white, low cut Converse and my leather backpack for a casual but classy look.

Here’s what I’m wearing:

Floral Jeans from Topshop

Cold Shoulder Tee from Topshop

Backpack/Handbag from Moda Luxe

White “Fancy” Converse from Converse
