Establishing Your Style

Hello everyone!

Personal style is a key part of fashion, and that’s what I’m going to write about today! A lot of people that get noticed for being fashionable have their own fashion taste. Are you having trouble finding your unique look? I’m here to help. 🙂

Here’s a fact to start this off with: You can be trendy and not wear what everyone else is wearing. You can do this by mixing trends and basics. I really like to wear a simple top and a pair of shorts, and then just add some cool shoes that are popular. I also think it’s nice to mix trends because you won’t look like everyone else. You can own pieces of clothing that other people have, but make it unique by styling it how you like it. Styling is very important. A shirt can be the same shirt but look different with what you wear it with (think about it).

You also don’t need to wear trends if you don’t want to. There are a lot of people that don’t, and that is perfectly okay!

“Why change? Everyone has their own style. When you have found it, you should stick to it.” -Audrey Hepburn

Another thing to remember is that everyone likes different things. If you dress in clothes that you love, you’ll already be establishing a style. People can have similar tastes in clothing, but everyone has their own. It’s important to wear what you like when you’re picking out or putting on outfits.

I personally just always wear what I want to wear. If you don’t wear things because you want to, you can end up dressing like someone else, which is not the point.

However, it’s nice to take inspiration from people if you admire someone’s taste. Finding outfits that you like and then adding to it to fit your personality is great if you’re a little bit stuck.

Something else that is a good idea is to find a store you like! Stores that people shop at can tell you about what their fashion sense is like. Discover some that you’re interested in and explore.

If you’re having trouble styling clothes or you just feel like you don’t know how to, talk to someone that does! Styling outfits does not come naturally to everyone, so don’t feel discouraged. Other people that like fashion can help you put together outfits with items that you like. This will just add to your personal style, and it might be helpful to get advice from a pro.

“Fashions fade, style is eternal.” -Yves Saint Laurent

If you like it, wear it. I have seen this become a lot more accepting, which is great. People have been spreading this message around more on social media. Don’t be afraid to wear what you want to. People think that you have to wear something that’s “in”, but you truly don’t have to. You are allowed to have a unique style, whether people appreciate it or not.

Psssstttt: Don’t tell anyone, but people usually pay more attention to the people who represent their own style than the others who dress like everyone else.

Embrace your fashion sense and build off of it! See where it takes you. It may change over time, or it may stay the same. Keep trying to make it the best it can be, and make sure it represents you.

Becoming a Superstar

Hello everyone!

I know this blog post is a day late from the usual weekly posts, but I really wanted to try these shoes out before I wrote so that I could give you my honest review on them. These shoes are the Adidas Superstar, and they are literally everywhere. I’m not even kidding. You’ve probably seen these shoes a million times. I’m just as excited as everyone else to have them.

So, are they really as special as everybody claims that they are? Here’s what I think.

First of all, after deciding that I wanted a pair of Adidas shoes, I decided to go for these ones. This was the style that I had liked the most. It’s a plain white shoe and it has the signature black Adidas stripes. They go with everything, and as you can tell, I like pieces that can be worn multiple times.

Since they are the Superstar, they have a rubberized toe. I wasn’t sure what to expect about this part of the shoe, but it turns out that they are really sturdy. I was afraid that the rubber was going to be too thin. It’s actually even thicker than the rubberized toes on Converse.

Besides that, they have some gold detailing. On the side, they say superstar. The tongue of the shoes also has a gold Adidas logo. It’s a really simple detail, but I like it very much. I personally think it looks awesome with the bright, metallic color against the white!

As you can see from the photos, the shoes also have white laces and little dots in between the Adidas stripes. They  have the Adidas logo on the back of the heel, too.

I obviously really like the look of the shoe. They just look very cool.

People used to wear these kind of shoes as athletic shoes, but now they have become a fashion statement. I don’t blame people for wearing them; the design of the shoe is very sleek. However, are they comfortable and practical?

I can assure you that they are. These shoes are very new, but I wore them out so that I could tell you what I truly believe about them. They fit nicely! The only problem I have with them is that my heel pops up a little bit when I walk. It’s nothing major; the shoes definitely won’t fall off of my foot. It isn’t uncomfortable, either.

My feet are a little bit narrow, and I think that the brand may not fit my feet perfectly. I already got a half size smaller than my normal shoe size because they ran big, and I know that if I got an even smaller size they would be way too tight. I recommend that you get a half size smaller. They fit really well that way. Also, if you have narrow feet, go try them on and see how you feel about them. If you have the same problem as me, layering socks really helps! I definitely would not return the shoes because of that tiny detail.

Besides that, they do feel great. The material is really nice, and I love the little details that are on the shoe.

They come in a variety of colors, so if you prefer a different color, you might be able to find it. I ordered mine online because they’re sold out so many places. I went to several stores (even an Adidas store where they didn’t have them) trying to find them. It was really hard to find a women’s pair in my size. I bought mine off of Finish Line (it’s an online shoe store). I’ll leave a link to them down below. They had women’s and men’s, and the different colors/styles.

I definitely understand the hype about these shoes. They fit well and they look awesome on! It’s one of those things that anyone can put on, and they make your outfit look a lot more stylish. I’m really interested in seeing if these continue to be one of the most popular trends in a few months.

Also, they’re a great alternative for other casual tennis shoes. When I want to throw on a pair, I usually just go for my Converse. I know for sure that I will now be reaching for these. They’re just as comfortable with even more support.

Once again, I really do recommend these. If you want to get these, go for it! They are a great purchase. I am extremely excited about all of the outfits I can wear these with.

Of course, I will also make sure that I wear them in an outfit blog post in the near future.

I hope you all like them as much as I do!

Thank you all for reading and for your support :).
