I thought I would put together my annual Christmas/holiday gift guide with everything $50 or less! Everything can be found on Amazon and will ship and arrive before Christmas, so this is perfect if you have some last minute shopping to do. Enjoy!
Oversized Sweater Dress: This dress is so cute and would make the perfect gift! It comes in a variety of colors and I feel like it would be flattering on all body shapes. The reviews are really good too and it’s only $40 which I think is such a good price point for a sweater dress!
Gel Nail Polish Kit: This gel nail polish kit would be amazing for everyone that loves to do their nails at home. It comes with a large selection of polishes and also tools to help you have the perfect manicure. I feel like this would also save someone so much money because then they’d be able to perfect the gel manicure at home rather than always going to the salon.
Paddywax Tobacco and Vanilla Candle: We used to sell these Paddywax candles where I worked, and everyone loved the tobacco and vanilla scent so much. They have a really good burn time and the packaging is super sleek so it would be a great gift for anyone!
14k Gold Plated Tennis Bracelet: Tennis bracelets are so chic and pretty, and this one is only $15! It’s by the brand Pavoi which I’ve bought stuff from before and the quality is actually really good for the price. I feel like this would be such a good stocking stuffer or gift for someone you know that loves simple yet elegant jewelry.
Untamed by Glennon Doyle: This book is super good, and I feel like it would make a really good gift because it has a lot of sound advice and covers different aspects and areas of life.
Kate Spade Insulated Tumbler: Kate Spade always has the cutest prints, and these tumblers would be so fun for your morning iced coffee or lemon water. This one has little strawberries all over it, but you can find more, from polka dots to stripes to florals. They also have cups for hot drinks if you prefer that.
Ouai Leave In Conditioner: I’ve used this leave in conditioner before, and it’s amazing. It honestly smells super good and I feel like it’s really nice to spray in your hair when it’s wet. Ouai has a lot of good products, and there’s a bunch on Amazon that you can get before Christmas!
6 Pack of Hair Claw Clips: These rectangular claw clips are so cute! I’m honestly going to order myself some because I feel like they’d come in handy but also look adorable if you pulled your hair back. It’s also a really good price because it’s only $2 per clip. It would make a great stocking stuffer!
I haven’t done a current favorites post since March so I figured I’d share what I’ve been loving today! Make sure you’re subscribed to the email list too so you get notifications every time I post. Enjoy!
Huggie Hoop Earrings from UNIQAJEWELS on Etsy: My sister bought me a pair of these earrings for my birthday and I love them! The crystals on them go all the way from the front to the back which I really like. They’re also really great quality and are perfect if you have sensitive ears; I wear mine multiple days in a row and they don’t hurt me. Once my second piercing heals I’m excited to put these in them too!
The Ganna Shirt Jacket in Black from Aritzia: This shirt jacket is the perfect staple piece for any wardrobe! I know it’s a bit expensive, but it’s great quality and goes with everything so I didn’t mind investing in it. Plus, shirt jackets are super on trend for fall so I knew when I bought it that I’d get a ton of wear out of it.
TNA Ribbed Crop T-Shirt in Crystal Pink from Aritzia: I bought this shirt a couple of weeks ago and I’ve been reaching for it nonstop. It’s actually a much more vibrant pink than how it appears online. This top also comes in seriously so many colors and the fit of it is the perfect crop.
BDG Urban Outfitters Edie High Waist Jeans from Nordstrom: I needed to buy a new pair of jeans so I got this pair from Nordstrom a couple of months ago and I wear them all the time! They have a raw hem at the bottom which is nice because they get a little bit distressed when you wash them. The only thing that is worth noting though is that they run super small! I had to size up a few sizes.
San Juan Summer Perfume from Boathouse Mercantile on Etsy: I got this perfume when I was on the San Juan Islands and let me just tell you, it smells amazing. According to the description on the website, it has notes of pine, citrus, and sunshine. The scent is pretty strong which is nice because it lasts all day.
GrandeLash-MD Lash Enhancing Serum from Ulta: I’ve been using this lash serum consistently for about a month now. My lashes have always been relatively long but they seem to have gotten even fuller recently. I’m convinced that it must have been because of this serum since I haven’t changed up my routine besides adding this! I’ll let you guys know if this stuff continues to work.
Dip powder manicures: If you guys have been here for awhile then you know I used to get dip powder on my nails. I started getting it again about three months ago and I love how it makes my nails look! This is how I’m able to grow out my natural nails super long and without breaking. If you’re looking to try a new manicure, check dip out!

I thought for my blog post today I would share some of my picks for fall 2021! I love making posts like these because it’s so much fun to shop for new pieces and put together outfits for the new season. I hope you like some of my picks!
Novella Blouse from Aritzia: This blouse is seriously gorgeous and comes in so many great colors. I love the puff sleeves and the little bow in the front.
Tylor Oversized Blazer from Adika: Blazers are perfect for fall weather and can be paired with so many different outfits. This one from Adika looks like it is such a great fit and super versatile.
Carr Oversized Denim Jacket from Adika: This denim jacket is the perfect piece to have in your wardrobe. I feel like you could reach for this piece all throughout fall and winter. It’s perfect also if you want to layer underneath it.
I know it’s been a minute since I posted on here! I didn’t want to let the month go by without celebrating the sixth birthday of Emily’s Edge! I can’t believe it’s been six years; it feels like I started this blog yesterday, but at the same time I feel like I’ve had it my whole life. I feel like my writing has grown so much over the past six years, and I’m excited because it’s about to grow even more. If you didn’t already know, I’m transferring to a college out here in Seattle where I’ll be majoring in communications and media with a specialization in journalism! I loved being in New York for two years and studying the business side of the fashion industry, but I’ve recently realized that my true passion is writing about fashion, hence the degree change to journalism. I’m very grateful and beyond excited to start my classes for it next month! Hopefully I’ll learn a lot about writing over my next few years in college, and I’ll definitely be sharing my favorite things in Seattle just like how I did in New York. I can’t wait for this next chapter of my life, and I hope you’re excited for it as well. Cheers to six years of Emily’s Edge and many more to come!
It feels so good to be back and writing a new blog post! I had a little break where I didn’t upload for a few weeks, but I have been active on my YouTube channel so I’ll link that here if you want to catch up! I decided that it was finally time for me to upload a post with all of my favorite books that I’ve been loving within the past year. If you don’t already know, I love reading and spending my time finding new books. I hope this post can give you some ideas and that you’ll join the Emily’s Edge book club! Let me know if you want another post with even more favorites.
The Woman in the Window – A really good thriller that I could not put down! You don’t see the ending coming at all and I found it to be captivating throughout the whole novel so you won’t get bored .
The Girl He Used to Know – This is a romance novel that explores the relationship of two people from when they’re in college to years later when they’re reunited. It’s not sappy at all; I really enjoyed it.
The Silent Patient – This was my latest read, and it’s probably one of my favorite books ever! I was completely shocked by the end of it which is always a great sign in any thriller novels.
All Adults Here – A story that explores the relationships and dynamics between family members. It was a really easy read, and I liked it a lot!
The Perfect Couple – A thriller that explores a murder mystery on Nantucket. This book was a bit longer but you’ll be turning each page so quickly because it grabs you!
Untamed – A book about finding yourself/being the most authentic version of yourself possible and what it means to be a woman.
Then She Was Gone – Another one of my favorite thriller books. I read this in two sittings because I was so hooked and wanted to find out what happened to the girl!
This is Not a Fashion Story – A book that explores Danielle Bernstein’s businesses and her journey with fashion.
The Four Agreements – Such a staple book; this goes through four key lessons that you can apply to your life directly!
Gone Girl – This is my favorite book ever! It’s a thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat and quickly turning pages!
What’s on your summer reading list? Let me know in the comments below!
I know it’s been a minute since I posted so I thought that I’d come back today with my favorite picks for summer! I went through a few different websites and pulled the pieces that I loved the most; I hope you love them too!
Sharlise Set in White from Princess Polly: This set screams summer to me. I especially love that it has the draped ruffle skirt with the matching puff sleeved top. I feel like the top would even look cute paired with some high rise jeans. Both pieces are interchangeable or super sweet as a set!
Forever in Style Top in Sage from Verge Girl: I think this top is so flattering and is a great color! Green is really in right now, and I feel like this top is super versatile in the sense that it could either be dressed up or styled down. I also love that it’s in a silky fabric.
Neive Short Sleeve Mini Dress in Lilac from Princess Polly: These dresses with the ruching and ties at the sides are very popular right now. I was really drawn to this dress because of the stunning color; I love lilac and think it’s perfect for summer. You can also get this dress in other colors if you want something more neutral.
VRG GRL Teach Peace Pants in Black from Verge Girl: These pants are so much fun! Even though they’re patterned, I feel like you could still get so much wear out of them because they’re black and white. It also has a matching top if you’d prefer to wear it with that. I love the pattern and think these pants could easily be transitioned from spring into summer.
Stormi Top in Blue from Princess Polly: This top is kind of similar to the dress in the sense that it has the ruching and the ties except this one has it at the front. I thought that was super unique because I usually see it as a side detail. I really like the color of this top and think that it could be paired in so many different outfits.
UO Cynthia Clip Dot-Sleeve Top in Sky from Urban Outfitters: I have this top and let me just say, the puff sleeves on it are amazing! It’s truly such a pretty top and can dress any outfit up. The detail on the sleeves is really pretty too. You can get this top in black also, but I think the sky color is just so pretty.
It’s been a minute since I uploaded but I thought that I would come back with a current favorites post! I kind of have a random mix of things I’ve been loving so you’re going to find anything from books to essential oils to leggings! I hope you enjoy and find some new favorite items for yourself.
CRZ YOGA Women’s 7/8 Workout Leggings: These leggings have been all over Instagram because they’re marketed as the dupes for the Lululemon align leggings. While I don’t have a pair of aligns, I can definitely say that these leggings live up to the hype. I’ve been wearing them ever since I got them in the mail; they’re super high waisted and fit great! I have them in black but they come in so many different colors too. Definitely size down as they run a little bit big; I got an XS but I could’ve gone smaller.
The Guest List by Lucy Foley: This is my current read at the moment! I have a little bit less than 100 pages left of it and it’s so good. I also read her book called The Hunting Party, and I just overall love her writing style. I definitely recommend if you’re into thriller novels like me!
Survivor on Hulu: Lately I’ve been watching all of the old Survivor seasons on Hulu! My favorite so far has been Heroes vs. Villains. They have a couple of the seasons on Netflix if you want to watch them there but Hulu has so many. I like to just turn this on after I get into bed at night and unwind while watching it.
17 Month Planner from Compendium: This is my current planner that I’m using, and I love it. It’s one of those planners that has a lot of space and no assigned dates so that you can pick up using it whenever you want. I use it to plan out all of my school assignments and I’ve found it to be so helpful.
Essential Oil Diffuser and Essential Oils: Part of my nighttime routine lately has been plugging in my essential oil diffuser and using lavender essential oils to make my room smell so good before I go to sleep. I really do find the scent to be relaxing and it’s a nice to just have something that you do consistently before bed.
Twinkle Star 66 Ft Fairy Lights: I have these fairy lights hanging up in my dorm room and I love turning off all of the lights but keeping them on! They’re super long so they’re perfect if you want them to wrap around the whole perimeter of your room.
I hope you guys enjoyed this post and I’ll talk to you soon!
I can’t believe that it’s already February which means Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! I thought I’d make a mini gift guide for you if you have a valentine this year and don’t know what to get them that won’t break the bank. Enjoy!
From left to right:
Milano Scrunchie in Pink Heart from Free People: This scrunchie is so cute and perfect for Valentine’s Day! I love the style of it and the hearts on it are adorable. Free People always has the best scrunchies that last a super long time and are worth the money.
Winky Lux pH Flower Balm in Pink from Anthropologie: I’m sure you’ve seen these lip balms all over the internet because they’re clear and have a flower encased inside them, but they are really nice! I have this one and it adjusts to your pH levels to give you the perfect shade of pink for your skin tone. It also smells like vanilla which is an added bonus!
Sweetheart Enamel Signet Ring from Anthropologie: This is the most expensive item on this gift guide but it’s just so cute that I had to include it. It’s such a sweet little ring that would look so good with other layered jewelry or on its own. It’s from the brand Tai which is one of my favorite jewelry brands ever because they have the prettiest pieces that last for a long time.
Cotton Face Mask 3pc Set in Blush from Kitsch: These masks are adorable and you can get a pack of three for only $12! I really want to buy a pack because they have multiple layers and come in really cute patterns. This set would be perfect to give someone for Valentine’s Day since it comes in a pretty pink color.
Cridoz 12 pcs Acrylic hair Clips from Amazon: I saw these on Amazon and they have really good ratings! I love that you can get a set of 12 in various styles and colors. These are a great accessory or can even be used to hold your hair back while you do your makeup.
I hope you enjoyed this mini gift guide! I personally really like these items, and I hope you do too.
If you’ve been paying attention to influencers lately or fashion, then I’m sure you’ve stumbled upon some sort of variation of chocolate brown. Yep, that’s right; the color of your favorite candy bar is officially in and is being worn in so many different ways. From sweatsuits to leggings to the famous Prada crossbody bag, everything is coming in chocolate brown. I’ve gone ahead and compiled some different items for you in this shade to help keep you trendy with little to no effort.
