Hey guys!
I’m writing a bit of a different blog post today, but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless. Two very important things in life are mindfulness and happiness. I’ve recently stumbled upon some great activities and books that help promote both of these practices! I’ve been incorporating them into my daily routine and have enjoyed it so much. I want to share them with you, too!
Before I begin, I think setting aside time for all of these is really important. They require you to reflect and think, so it’s best that you have time to do so!
Here’s what I’ve been doing…
- Journaling. I’ve always loved journaling, especially because of my love for writing. I got this beautiful pink/rose gold journal for Christmas, and I’ve been making time to write in it frequently. For me personally, I like to write things out. I may know what I have to do in my mind, but writing it all down on paper makes me feel so much more organized. I’ve been setting aside time to write about all different things in this journal, such as to-do lists, goals, blog ideas, etc. It’s been great for organizing all of my thoughts. In addition to this, I’ve been using these planner stickers from Ban.do. I love sticking them in my journal! They vary from positive sayings to stickers that say rent due, doctors appointment, etc. They’re a perfect way to make journaling even more fun if you don’t already enjoy it.
- Gratitude Lists. The act of practicing gratitude is so important in your daily life. This little gratitude jotter book has lists where you can fill out what you’re thankful for each day. I personally really love this, and I think that with constant practice, you’ll notice a big impact on your life. Not only will this make you feel happy, but it will put things in your life into perspective.
- 52 Lists for Happiness. This book has a list that you can fill out each week for one year. It has several different topics that cultivate good thoughts and happy feelings. Like the gratitude list journal, this book allows you to focus on the positive things in your life rather than the negative ones. The book also has suggestions so that you can make proactive decisions when it comes to balancing happiness. Besides this, it has such cute and fun illustrations on each page.
I’m someone who loves to stay positive, so setting aside time to write and do these activities is a must, especially for 2018. I’m feeling really confident for the new year, and I hope you are too!
There’s going to be lots more posts in 2018, so get ready!
