Hello everyone! Before I begin talking about this outfit, I would just like to say a few things regarding my blog. First off, my summer break will be over, and I will be back in school by the time you’re reading this. Since that is happening, I will be posting on my blog at least once a week. Please do not worry that I am going to stop my blog! I am still going to continue throughout the school year. I have a lot of more clothes and fashion related things to show you. Next, I just wanted to say thank you for checking out my blog. It’s been doing so well and it makes me so happy to have people enjoying something I love. You are all amazing!

Alright, let’s talk about this outfit. This is probably one of my favorite outfits that I’ve talked about on here. It is so classy and sophisticated, but it still has some modern day accessories. I am wearing a cropped, knit shirt with flowers on it, faded, black denim shorts, cat eye sunglasses, tan flats, a bracelet, and some rings.

My shirt is from Topshop. It has little white flowers that are sewn onto it. My shirt is made out of a knit material. It’s comfortable, but it could get itchy over time. It has a higher neck, too. Since it is cropped, I decided to put a black tank top under my shirt (you can wear it without a tank top as well). The amazing thing about this top is that you can dress it up or down. Either way, it will still look classy. I wanted my outfit to look somewhat dressy but not too fancy, so I paired this shirt with shorts. You can also wear it with a skirt or pants.

The shorts I’m wearing are black to match the top. I like that they are faded and a little bit frayed at the bottom. I think it makes them kind of edgy. Black tops with black pants/skirts always look really nice. I decided I didn’t want too much color in this look, but I think the faded black looks really nice with the darker black on the top.

The shoes I’m wearing are tan and they have tiny cutouts in their material. They have a small heel. They are actually comfortable to walk around in. They don’t leave my feet feeling sore or hurting. If you’re interested in these shoes, I highly recommend that you consider buying them because they are now on sale! I got mine last summer for $45 but they are currently in the Topshop sale section for $12. They are selling these exact shoes in orange and blue, but you can find a similar pair (that are also being sold for $12) in white. Considering these were $45 and they have lasted me a year, I would say they’re a great deal.

I am wearing a pair of brown tortoise shell colored sunglasses. These sunglasses are in a cat-eye shape. I really love cat-eye frames because I think they look a little bit retro, but still fashionable. They are made out of plastic (definitely not cheap plastic, though) and they have a really thin line of gold detailing on the side of them. If you’re looking for new sunglasses, check these ones out! The lenses are not polarized with color (which many sunglasses have now) so they are really easy to see out of. They also match with everything.

Lastly, I’m wearing some jewelry. I have on a moonstone ring and an opal one. I also am wearing my Cartier look alike bracelet. I’m sure you are all familiar with those pieces.

In general, I really love how this whole outfit works together, from the black top to the tan shoes. It looks mature and put together without being hard to wear. You can take any of these pieces and wear them with something casual for a more simple outfit or a dressier one. I tried to mix it up by adding the shorts so that you could get a different perspective of this look. I’m pleased with how this outfit looks and I will definitely wear it in the future.

Here’s what I’m wearing:

Black Knit Top with White Flowers from Topshop

Faded, Black Denim Shorts from BP (in Nordstrom)

Tan Cutout Flats from Topshop

Tortoise Shell, Cat-Eye Sunglasses from Topshop

Moonstone Ring from Sundance

Opal Ring

Cartier Lookalike Love Bracelet in Rose Gold from Sugar

Sally Hansen Gel Nail Polish in the color Purplexed

Talk to you soon!
