My Picks for Fall 2021

Hey everyone!

I thought for my blog post today I would share some of my picks for fall 2021! I love making posts like these because it’s so much fun to shop for new pieces and put together outfits for the new season. I hope you like some of my picks!

Daniel Jacket Black from Princess Polly: I’ve seen so many plaid shirt jackets in stores lately! So many come in fun colors but I love that this one is black and white so it’s super versatile.

Motel Zerbe Trouser in Black from Princess Polly: I think a pair of leather pants for fall is such a great staple item to have. They immediately elevate a basic look while also being super easy to style.

The Brave Ribbed Knit Top in Black from Verge Girl: I love this top. It’s so simple but also so elegant and chic. I really like how the model has it styled with black pants but I think it would also be super cute with denim.

VRG GRL New Fashion Ribbed Knit Midi Dress in Natural from Verge Girl: This dress is another staple piece for fall. I like that you can wear it off the shoulder if you want to or regularly. I think this paired with some Converse would be an easy and fashionable outfit.

Free Fleece Cropped Sweatshirt in Bubble Pink from Aritzia: I bought this crewneck last week because I am obsessed with this pink color. I think it’s so pretty and it would also really add a pop of color to your fall wardrobe.

Novella Blouse from Aritzia: This blouse is seriously gorgeous and comes in so many great colors. I love the puff sleeves and the little bow in the front.

Tylor Oversized Blazer from Adika: Blazers are perfect for fall weather and can be paired with so many different outfits. This one from Adika looks like it is such a great fit and super versatile.

Carr Oversized Denim Jacket from Adika: This denim jacket is the perfect piece to have in your wardrobe. I feel like you could reach for this piece all throughout fall and winter. It’s perfect also if you want to layer underneath it.

BDG Autumn Turtleneck in Lilac from Urban Outfitters: I bought a BDG turtleneck just like this one a couple years ago now and I always wear it during the fall and winter months! It’s so easy to layer underneath bigger jackets and even easier to style.

UO Nina Combat Boot in Cream from Urban Outfitters: Every fall wardrobe needs a pair of boots! These ones are really cute and less expensive than Docs. I love the platform on them!

I hope you enjoyed this post and found some new things for fall!

My Picks for Summer 2021

Hey everyone!

I know it’s been a minute since I posted so I thought that I’d come back today with my favorite picks for summer! I went through a few different websites and pulled the pieces that I loved the most; I hope you love them too!

VRG GRL Centre Stage Knit Top in Pink from Verge Girl: I absolutely love this cute cherry print top! I think that this is such a fun print for summer. This paired with denim shorts or some mom jeans would look so cute.

Sharlise Set in White from Princess Polly: This set screams summer to me. I especially love that it has the draped ruffle skirt with the matching puff sleeved top. I feel like the top would even look cute paired with some high rise jeans. Both pieces are interchangeable or super sweet as a set!

Forever in Style Top in Sage from Verge Girl: I think this top is so flattering and is a great color! Green is really in right now, and I feel like this top is super versatile in the sense that it could either be dressed up or styled down. I also love that it’s in a silky fabric.

Neive Short Sleeve Mini Dress in Lilac from Princess Polly: These dresses with the ruching and ties at the sides are very popular right now. I was really drawn to this dress because of the stunning color; I love lilac and think it’s perfect for summer. You can also get this dress in other colors if you want something more neutral.

VRG GRL Teach Peace Pants in Black from Verge Girl: These pants are so much fun! Even though they’re patterned, I feel like you could still get so much wear out of them because they’re black and white. It also has a matching top if you’d prefer to wear it with that. I love the pattern and think these pants could easily be transitioned from spring into summer.

Stormi Top in Blue from Princess Polly: This top is kind of similar to the dress in the sense that it has the ruching and the ties except this one has it at the front. I thought that was super unique because I usually see it as a side detail. I really like the color of this top and think that it could be paired in so many different outfits.

UO Cynthia Clip Dot-Sleeve Top in Sky from Urban Outfitters: I have this top and let me just say, the puff sleeves on it are amazing! It’s truly such a pretty top and can dress any outfit up. The detail on the sleeves is really pretty too. You can get this top in black also, but I think the sky color is just so pretty.

UO Audrey Mesh Mini Dress in Beige Multi from Urban Outfitters: I think this dress is so cute with the flower print and ruffles! It also comes in a really cute navy color with monarch butterflies all over it. I personally think the style and cut of the dress is super nice.

UO Andrea Collared Cropped Sweater in Pink from Urban Outfitters: This is another top that I bought recently that I absolutely love! It looks so cute paired with some jeans, but I also think it would look nice paired with a mini skirt. This is another item that comes in several color but I personally love the pink.

I hope you guys liked this blog post and found some new cute pieces or places to shop at! School is almost out for the summer for me so expect to see a lot more content coming soon!

Mini Valentine’s Day Gift Guide Under $60

Hey everyone!

I can’t believe that it’s already February which means Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! I thought I’d make a mini gift guide for you if you have a valentine this year and don’t know what to get them that won’t break the bank. Enjoy!

From left to right:

Milano Scrunchie in Pink Heart from Free People: This scrunchie is so cute and perfect for Valentine’s Day! I love the style of it and the hearts on it are adorable. Free People always has the best scrunchies that last a super long time and are worth the money.

Winky Lux pH Flower Balm in Pink from Anthropologie: I’m sure you’ve seen these lip balms all over the internet because they’re clear and have a flower encased inside them, but they are really nice! I have this one and it adjusts to your pH levels to give you the perfect shade of pink for your skin tone. It also smells like vanilla which is an added bonus!

Sweetheart Enamel Signet Ring from Anthropologie: This is the most expensive item on this gift guide but it’s just so cute that I had to include it. It’s such a sweet little ring that would look so good with other layered jewelry or on its own. It’s from the brand Tai which is one of my favorite jewelry brands ever because they have the prettiest pieces that last for a long time.

Harper + Ari Valentine Bath Bomb in Perfect Match from Anthropologie: The packaging on this bath bomb is really pretty and it comes in several squares so you can use it multiple times!

Cotton Face Mask 3pc Set in Blush from Kitsch: These masks are adorable and you can get a pack of three for only $12! I really want to buy a pack because they have multiple layers and come in really cute patterns. This set would be perfect to give someone for Valentine’s Day since it comes in a pretty pink color.

Mer-Sea & Co. Body Cream in Coconut Sugar from Anthropologie: I love this body lotion! I got it in a Fab Fit Fun box, and it did not disappoint. It smells amazing like vanilla coconut and comes in a really large tube so it will last forever.

Cridoz 12 pcs Acrylic hair Clips from Amazon: I saw these on Amazon and they have really good ratings! I love that you can get a set of 12 in various styles and colors. These are a great accessory or can even be used to hold your hair back while you do your makeup.

I hope you enjoyed this mini gift guide! I personally really like these items, and I hope you do too.

Holiday Gift Guide 2020

Hey everyone!

I’ve had this gift guide in my drafts for weeks now, and I’m so excited to finally share it with all of you! I’m officially on winter break so I’ll have a ton of more time to upload on here consistently. I tried to compile a wide variety of items for you; I really hope this is helpful and that you enjoy the post!

Items from left to right:

Def Leppard 1983 Tour T-Shirt Dress in black from Urban Outfitters: Urban makes the best graphic tees, and I bought this last month and have worn it countless times already! I bought it because I personally just love the graphic on the front, but any of their graphic tees would make a great gift this holiday season. This shirt is a personal favorite because it’s so cute and easy to throw on with leggings and sneakers.

Noelle Huggie Hoop Earring Set in gold from Anthropologie: This hoop earring set would be such a great and easy gift to give because of the variety of earrings. I personally love hoop earrings and I always find that Anthropologie has such pretty jewelry and great gifts to give for the holiday season.

Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lip Secrets Set: This lip set is so pretty and is an item that I personally have on my holiday list. It features four different lip products in Charlotte Tilbury’s famous shade pillow talk. It seems that it’s sold out everywhere, but I’ve linked it from the Charlotte Tilbury website so that you can be put on the mailing list for when it comes back in stock.

Happiness Runs Crop in violet quartz from Free People: I have heard nothing but amazing things about this tank, and I think it would be such a great gift because you can wear it for working out or just as a regular top. This lilac color is stunning, but it’s also available in pretty much every shade you can imagine!

HUMIWA Womens Faux Fur Slippers in pink from Amazon: These are my all time favorite slippers and they’re only $17 from Amazon! I have them in light pink but they come in more colors and patterns. I have a pair of them that I keep in my dorm at school and I’m constantly wearing them.

2021 Great Year 12 Month Planner from Idlewild Co.: I found this planner on Anthropologie and it seems like it’s no longer available on several sites, but I thought it was so cute. A planner is a great gift because you can look forward to using it in the new year and get excited!

Fujifilm Mini Link Smartphone Printer in pink from Urban Outfitters: These Polaroid printers connect directly to your phone and then allow you to print out photos from your camera roll! It’s great because you can print out any photo you want rather than having to take a picture right then and there and not knowing how it will turn out.

Holly Asymmetric Straight Leg Jean in light wash denim from Princess Polly: This is another item that’s on my Christmas list. Asymmetric jeans are so in right now, and this pair from Princess Polly seems to be especially popular!

Big Claw Clips from Amazon: These claw clips are very trendy right now and I have this pack from Amazon. They’re really great because they actually hold all of your hair if you have longer hair like me. This pack has cute colors too!

Tartelette Give, Gift, and Get Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Wardrobe from Sephora: This eyeshadow palette set would be perfect for any makeup lover because it has every shade you could possibly ever need and it’s a great price for all three of these palettes!

My Picks for Fall 2020

Hey everyone!

This week officially marks the first week of autumn which means fall fashion is here! I’m so excited to start wearing my fall outfits, and I thought I’d pile some items together that I think would be perfect for this season! Enjoy!

Lover Knit Cardigan in Blush from Verge Girl: This cardigan is seriously so cute! I love the pastel colors; I know not everyone likes to wear light colors in fall, but I wear so many neutrals that any pop of color is good with me. This would be a great transitioning piece for spring and summer too. It looks light enough that you could layer it under bigger jackets when it’s colder in the winter.

Tyson Zip-Front Short Sleeve Romper from Urban Outfitters: I think this romper is so fun! It comes in a pumpkin and berry color along with this dark blue, all which scream fall to me. I feel like it’s such a flattering and cute piece; I’d pair it with a pair of ankle boots and a leather jacket. I love the corduroy material, the collar, and that it has buttons at the waist for extra detail. This would make a killer Thanksgiving outfit.

BDG High-Waisted Slim Straight Jean from Urban Outfitters: I wear jeans year round, and I think these ones are cool and could be styled so many different ways. I like the rips at the knees and the subtle paint splatters. You can honestly wear this with a sweater, bodysuit, crop top, you name it. I also love the fit of these; BDG makes really great straight jeans without making them a typical skinny jean pair (nothing wrong with those, but I love a girlfriend jean).

Perry Hooded Denim Jacket from Free People: If this jacket wasn’t $150, I’d buy it right now. I love a good denim jacket; I wear a black one from Free People all the time. The oversized sherpa lining in this one is amazing, and the suede hood makes it even better. I love that it’s lined around the outside of the arm cuffs too. This is such a cozy but stunning piece… well done, Free People.

Tiegan Medium Wash High Rise Raw Skinny Jeans from Lulu’s: Here’s another pair of jeans to check out if you want a skinny pair that’s super cute! What drew me to this pair was the fraying at the bottom of the pants. It makes them so much more unique than plain jeans, and I feel like they could easily transition from season to season.

Babygirl Knit in Sky from Verge Girl: I love this sweater so much. The color is so nice and since it’s so light, it would be perfect to pair with neutrals or other pastels. I would definitely wear this during fall and throughout the wintertime.

I hope you all liked this post – definitely let me know if you want a part two because I’ve seen so many items that would be so perfect for the fall weather! If there are any more fall themed posts that you’d like to see, leave it in the comments and I’ll add it to my list!

Fashion Feeds to Follow

Hey everyone!

As requested, today I’m going to share some of my favorite Instagram accounts that I follow with fashion related content. While not all of these girls are fashion bloggers, they each have their own individual sense of style and run such amazing feeds. I personally love discovering new accounts to follow and get some inspiration from, so I hope this post is helpful!

Delaney Childs (@delaneychilds): I love Delaney’s account; it’s one of my favorites that I follow! She pretty much posts daily, and she also runs a blog and YouTube channel that are just as great. I love that she styles both girly and edgy outfits. She posts a lot on her Instagram story where she shares discount codes and product links which is so helpful if you want the exact item she’s mentioned. Overall, she has a super positive and uplifting attitude which makes following her even better!

Danielle Bernstein (@weworewhat): Danielle is one of the first bloggers I’ve ever followed and is so incredibly successful. I’ve always loved her style and to see how she pairs pieces of clothing and accessories. She also shares a lot of her business ventures on her page which is great if you have an entrepreneurial spirit like myself. You can tell that she works really hard on all of the content she puts out and that she’s truly passionate about fashion.

Jaci Marie Smith (@jacimariesmith): Jaci is not necessarily a fashion blogger, but her feed is so cohesive and pretty! She does a really great job when it comes to color combinations. Her style is casual but extremely well put together. She also has an amazing podcast that I like to listen to, as well as a YouTube channel.

Devon Carlson (@devonleecarlson): Devon’s style is so chic and fun. I feel like she puts together pieces that you normally wouldn’t consider pairing together but then makes it such a good look. She also thrifts a lot of her pieces which I find really cool; it’s always interesting to see how she styles her latest finds. Devon’s account is a must follow.

Victoria Magrath (@inthefrow): I started following Victoria years ago now, and she’s also one of the first bloggers I ever started following. Her style is so classy; her Instagram photos look like they were taken straight out of a magazine. She has that editorial style when it comes to her content, and her blog is no exception. She’s also a great person to follow if you’re interested in luxury and designer pieces because she’s always sharing her latest purchases and talking about what’s new in fashion.

Kemper Baugh (@joandkemp): Kemper runs this Instagram account with her husband, Jordan, but she has plenty of pictures that highlight her amazing sense of style. She also has that casual yet chic style; I feel like she just has an eye for pairing pieces together and making them look so pretty (she actually used to be a stylist, which explains a lot of that). I love checking out her page when I need some outfit inspiration or new places to shop at.

Hopefully you all have found some new accounts to follow and check out! If you have anymore that you think are worth checking out, definitely leave them in the comments below!

My Favorite Skincare Products

Hey everyone!

I made a poll on Instagram asking what you wanted to see on Emily’s Edge, and the most voted for post was all about my skincare routine! I’m here to share all of my favorite products that I’ve been using consistently and find make a difference when it comes to my skin! Before we begin, I also want to note that these products are not the sole reason why my skin is clear; I’ve been seeing a dermatologist for several years and she’s helped me find all sorts of medication and topical treatments that have helped me. A lot of these products are recommended by dermatologists though and are great if you’re establishing a skincare routine!

CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser: I’ve been using this stuff for around seven years now. It’s super gentle which makes it great for dry to normal skin because it doesn’t leave your skin feeling like it’s been stripped away. I use this twice a day, and it’s really great for removing makeup too. I’ll use micellar water to get the base level of makeup off, but this cleanser is always used afterwards to really clean and perfect my skin. I also love CeraVe because it’s recommended by lots of dermatologists but is still very affordable!

Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Gel Moisturizer: This moisturizer is incredible. It smells like oranges and is so refreshing. I haven’t used this in awhile because I’ve been using the moisturizer I’m going to share with you next, but I definitely want to get my hands on this again. I have dry/normal skin, so this product always feels so good when I put it on because it hydrates my skin and leaves it moisturized.

CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion: This is another one of my favorite CeraVe products. It’s super lightweight but still leaves your face feeling so good and hydrated afterwards. The bottles says that you can use it at nighttime but I use it morning and night. Another thing I really like about this (and the brand in general) is that it’s all oil free.

Glossier Solution: I’ve gone through maybe four bottles of this exfoliator, and I truly do notice a difference when I use it. It feels like it really takes anything gross off of my skin and leaves it smooth. I listened to a podcast where a cosmetologist spoke and she said that exfoliating is super important because it allows your moisturizer to work even better. It honestly makes a lot of sense, and I like knowing that I’m taking care of my skin in multiple ways while using one product.

Glossier Invisible Shield: SPF is so important and needs to be worn daily, regardless if you’re in the sun or not. This is my all time favorite sunscreen for my face. It never leaves any white marks and goes on so smoothly. I can immediately put my makeup on over it and it doesn’t affect the way it looks at all. Plus, it smells like lemons. Who doesn’t want a fresh smelling sunscreen?

I hope you guys enjoyed this post! I’m currently back in New York and doing the fourteen day quarantine since I came from Washington so I have a lot of free time on my hands. I’m going to be getting a lot of content creating done for you so keep an eye on this space. Hope you’re all well!
