Fashion Inspiration

Hello everybody!

I have recently seen some blog posts about where to find fashion inspiration. I really liked them, and they seem to be very helpful. I realize that I haven’t ever talked in full detail about where you can get fashion motivation. Today I am going to be sharing where you can get inspiration for your “I have nothing to wear” days.

1. Fashion Bloggers

There are so many amazing bloggers out there that have different styles. It’s really helpful to be able to go online and see how other people style outfits or clothing pieces. If you feel like you want to go and buy something new, you can also look at what they’re wearing and get an idea for how you can style it. You can accommodate what they have on to your own style.

2. Clothing Stores

A lot of the times, clothing stores online will show you what a piece looks like when it is on somebody. If you have bought something recently and want to see how you can wear it, just search for it online! You can also browse clothing stores to see new trends. Remember, you can wear trends but still be true to your style. 🙂 Clothing stores online sometimes have their own blog, too! I have seen stores that have websites that show the latest popular pieces.

3. Social Media Accounts

Ever since I got Tumblr, I have basically followed a bunch of fashion accounts that show me all of the runway looks from designers. It allows me to see what designers are creating for fashion, and what is going to be new. Instagram, Tumblr, Twitter, etc. are all great places for people to share what they’re wearing or loving at the moment. Also, now with this whole “themes” idea on Instagram and Tumblr, if you like certain colors of clothing, you can look at accounts that show that color specifically.

4. People In General

Whether it’s a celebrity or your best friend, people in general have pretty great fashion sense. One day when you’re out, notice who’s outfit catches your eye and why you like it so much. Use this to your advantage and see if you could create a similar outfit. In general, people wear unique things. Going to a well known city and seeing the different people and their outfits could inspire you to change up your style or wear something new.

5. Yourself

I know that this sounds pretty odd at first, but make your style become a fashion inspiration for yourself. Think about outfits you love to wear, and try those on again. Go in your closet and mix and match some different pieces. Always wear what you like and what reflects your style. Don’t get too caught up in what the new “big thing” is and what “everyone” is wearing if you don’t like it. It’s a really cool thing when you’re able to love your style and are able to use it as inspiration.

6. Designers

Read a magazine (as shown in the photo above, Vogue shares some great brands in their catalogues), go on Tumblr, and do whatever you can to explore and find more designers. If you see something that you like from a designer, there are many places where they sell a similar thing but for less. If you don’t want to do that, pay attention to the styles and details that you like from the designer. You can save up your money and invest on something from a designer brand if you want to.

There are so many different people, places, and things that can give you fashion inspiration. Hopefully these will give you an idea of where to look when you may be unsure of what to reach for.

P.S. Also, just to give you a heads up, I am going to be going on vacation for awhile next week. I probably won’t be able to get a post up. Make sure to follow my Instagram though, because I’ll be posting photos of my trip!

Thank you for reading my blog and for all of the nice feedback!

Talk to you soon!
