Hi everybody!
As I’m sure all of you know, the MetGala was this week, and the theme was “Manus X Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology.” I think that this is a great theme, and I was really interested in seeing the outfits. I picked out ten of my favorites to share with you today.

To start off with, Blake Lively wore a gown from Burberry, and oh my gosh, it is beautiful. As you all know, I do love flowers quite a bit, and so I love the mix of the floral patterns with this dress. I love that the dress is a pinkish-white color as well with the red detailing. It makes it a statement piece, but not too bold. Overall, I love her outfit and think that she chose a great dress for the event!
Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik went together to the gala, and they did a great job portraying the theme by making metal (which represents technology) a part of their looks. Their outfits were some of my favorites. I really like that Gigi’s dress has the sequins underneath it, but another fabric over it too. I also like that Zayn is wearing a plain tuxedo with the metal around the arms. They both accessorized very nicely. Gigi is wearing Tommy Hilfiger, and Zayn is wearing Versace.
Next, Nick Jonas is wearing Topman. I really like his tuxedo because of the fabric. It looks nice that he didn’t go with the dark blue fabric all over his suit, and just the jacket. I also like how he still has some white and black a part of it. His look doesn’t look exactly like anyone else’s, which is definitely a plus.
Zendaya is wearing a old sequined dress, and I think it looks super pretty. Although it’s just one color, the cut and length of the dress really does make it stand out. It is apart of the Michael Kors Collection. I also like the high neck and one sleeve, while the other is bare. As a lot of us know, Zendaya has great taste, and this look is no exception.
Claire Danes wore this dress from Zac Posen, and it is so beautiful. It reminds me of Cinderella’s dress (don’t worry, it’s definitely a compliment). The dress is so full and long, and it just looks amazing. Also, have I mentioned that it lights up in the dark? She’s definitely taking this technology inspiration to the next level, and I’m all for it.
Bee Shaffer wore this Alexander McQueen dress on the red carpet. I love that it’s black but still has the bright colors from the embroidery. I also love that the dress has a long train. I think that it looks really sophisticated and pretty. She is wearing a Fred Leighton headband and some rings by him, as well as Macklow Gallery earrings.
Amber Heard is next, and she is wearing this pearlescent gown from Ralph Lauren. The color of this dress is so gorgeous. The dress itself kind of reminds me of a vintage dress. It also has a slit down the side of it and fabric crossing towards the middle/side. Her hair and makeup looks super pretty too. I love that she wore simple necklaces with this look (her jewelry is from Lauren Collection Anita Jewelry). Her shoes are Jimmy Choo.
Idris Elba wore this tuxedo from Tom Ford. His look is very classic, but I like that he didn’t go too crazy with the colors and patterns. His jacket is also longer in the back, which is a small detail that definitely adds something cool to his look. I also like the mix of black and white.
Lastly, we have Elle Fanning wearing Thakoon. Her dress is similar to Amber’s and is also pearlescent fabric. Elle’s dress is in a cream fabric. It is a simple dress, but I really like how sophisticated and clean it looks. I also like the shape of the neckline and the length of the dress.
That is it for my best dressed list of the MetGala! I really hope that you enjoyed it. Which was your favorite look?
Also, as a quick side note, there will most likely be no new blog post next weekend. This is due to the fact that I am currently getting ready for my final exams at school. I pre-wrote this post for you so that I would only have to miss one week of blogging and not two 🙂
Thank you for understanding! After this, it will be summer, and I upload a lot then!
P.S. Thank you for all of the positive feedback on the chokers I’ve made. I’ve even been able to make/sell a lot of them to you. I’m happy about that!
Talk to you soon!
