Hi everyone!
Most of you probably don’t know this, but I actually have a twin sister named Caitlin! I thought it would be fun to answer some fashion related questions with her so that you can get an idea of both of our styles. I came up with the questions for us to answer, and feel free to take these questions and make a post with someone else too! Make sure that you tag/credit me so that I can read it!
Before we begin, I just want to add a DISCLAIMER: This blog post ended up being quite funny and full of jokes. There definitely are serious moments, and we answer all these questions honestly. We ended up having so much fun, and we decided to include it in this post. If you don’t want to read it, stop at question 5.
Question 1: What are your favorite trends at the moment?
C: I like high-waisted jeans, mom jeans, bomber jackets, jumpsuits, etc. I don’t wear nearly all of these pieces, but I think they’re cool and therefore I’m a fan of them.
E: I like lace up shoes, high-waisted pants, and I like quilted bags. Every store is selling them now, and they remind me of Chanel.
Question 2: How are both of your styles similar and different?
C: Um.
E: Do you want me to go first?
C: I can do it. I think that I like a lot of stuff that you wear, it’s just not my style or I don’t have the confidence to wear it. So, like, maybe we do have a lot of things in common stylistically, but it would be hard to tell because I don’t prefer to put as much effort into what I wear.
E: Yeah, I think our styles are similar, I just think that how we approach them is different. There are some things that I wear, that you would probably wear more casually. And I think our style is different because I’m a lot bolder.
Question 3: If you had to borrow one item from the other’s closet, what would you choose?
C: Can I look really quick?
E: Okay. Go ahead. It could be anything.
C: I think I would probably borrow two things, or maybe three.
E: What are they?
C: I would take this black and white checkered shirt, this army jacket, and the Doc Martin’s because I could come up with a good outfit with stuff I already have.
E: Okay, I’m going to look in your closet now. I would take this bejeweled Topshop shirt, the ‘Squad Goals’ sweatshirt with the cats on it, and then your red Converse because they’re different for me. If I was wearing the Converse with all black on, it would be fine because I would have a pop of color.
Question 4: What’s you least favorite item that the other girl owns?
C: One of them is the Urban Outfitters off white shirt with the bikes and flowers because the color makes it look dirty, it’s really worn, and it’s such a tired shirt. Let it rest.
E: I actually considered selling that.
C: The white fuzzy sweater from Free People. It looks like, ugh, I hate it so much. It’s so ugly. It kind of looks like a lamb, but if it looked like a lamb it would look better. The last one, is not something I don’t like, it’s your black and white Brandy Melville striped shirt because you wear it a lot.
E: The first thing I don’t like is this dove sweater. It’s literally a sea-foam green cardigan with cartoon doves on it! It’s really ugly. The second thing is the galaxy cat shirt from Urban Outfitters. It’s fine, it’s just that the color mix is not good. Lastly, obviously I love your Converse, but you just wear them too often.
Question 5: What can you not imagine the other person wearing?
C: I can’t imagine you wearing sweatpants in public or just sweatpants in general. I don’t know why you don’t like them, but whatever. Or anything from Hot Topic.
E: Both of those things are really true though. I can’t imagine you wearing a prom dress. Like, I can, but I see you wearing one that is a solid color.
C: Wait, what’s that name of the show from Disney with the twins?
E: …Liv and Maddie?
C: Yeah, Liv and Maddie! We’re Liv and Maddie. Okay, do you know the difference between Liv and Maddie?
E: Uh, yeah, Maddie’s the girly one.
C: …
E: Right?
C: No, no Liv is the girly one!
E: WHAT?!
C: …Liv and Maddie is over anyway. That’s pretty sad, right?
E: NO!
Disclaimer: This blog post was not promoted or sponsored by Disney channel.
E: We’re going to move on now, even though fifteen minutes of Disney channel discussion followed the last question. I promise this isn’t promoted.
Question 5: What do you admire about the other person’s style?
C: I admire that you like to try new things, and you’re not afraid of what other people think of you.
E: I like that you wear casual clothes, and even though they are casual, you can pull it off and it never seems like you’re underdressed.
Question 6: If you could pick something for your sister to wear, what would it be?
C: I’ve said this a million times before. I think you should wear overalls.
E: I think you should wear a leather jacket. I’ve seen you try one on before, and you should get one.
Question 7: Do you tend to shop at similar places? What are both of your favorite places to shop?
C: Yes, and Urban Outfitters.
E: I like Topshop, and you get some stuff from there.
C: Mm, I don’t really like to shop there though. I have gotten a few good things there before (socks).
E: And, upon my sister’s request, I’m going to ask ‘is there anything else you’d like to add?’

Well, I must admit, this was a very interesting and fun post to write. I hope you were able to handle our jokes, as well take some seriousness out of this. I hope you all enjoyed it. It’s a bit different than my usual posts (with all the Liv and Maddie references).
Thanks for making it to the end. If you did, leave a comment saying what country you’re reading from! It always amazes me how so many of you are from different places in the world, and still manage to stumble across Emily’s Edge.
Talk to you soon!
