2019!
This year has been one on my mind for awhile now since I knew it would be a year of new experiences, changes, endings, and beginnings. Now that it’s here, I can’t quite wrap my head around it but it gets a little more real each day.
I’m excited for 2019. Some resolutions for the year are…
-Wear more color! Try to step out of your habit of buying white shirts, Emily. You’re more interesting than that! (13 days into this new year, and let me tell you, I have been so much better already.)
-Actually eat breakfast. I’m the kind of person who runs out the door in the morning and doesn’t grab something to eat because I’m “too busy,” which is a lame excuse that will end this year.
-Read more books. I love reading, and I forget about how therapeutic it is for me. This year, I’m going to make sure I have a book that I’m reading at all times and that I give myself time to read it.
-Less Starbucks, more coffee at home. I have become way too reliant on Starbucks for my daily cup of iced coffee, but I have a Nespresso machine at home and am 100% capable of being my own barista. Catch me perfecting my iced coffee recipe this year.
Those are some changes I’m going to make this year; what are your plans and resolutions?
In terms of exciting and new changes, I will be graduating high school this spring and then starting college in the fall. However, I’ll be leaving my home for the past 18 years, Southern California, for a new adventure in New York where I’ll be a Fashion Studies major!!! I’m not too pumped about packing everything, but I’m ecstatic to be studying what I love in my favorite city! I also really love the school that I committed to, which makes everything ten times more wonderful (go Johnnies)!
Anyways, many amazing things are on the horizon, and I’m ready to make the very most of this year and all of the things that are coming my way. 2019 is going to be a year to remember!
