My Favorite Skincare Products

Hey everyone!

I made a poll on Instagram asking what you wanted to see on Emily’s Edge, and the most voted for post was all about my skincare routine! I’m here to share all of my favorite products that I’ve been using consistently and find make a difference when it comes to my skin! Before we begin, I also want to note that these products are not the sole reason why my skin is clear; I’ve been seeing a dermatologist for several years and she’s helped me find all sorts of medication and topical treatments that have helped me. A lot of these products are recommended by dermatologists though and are great if you’re establishing a skincare routine!

CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser: I’ve been using this stuff for around seven years now. It’s super gentle which makes it great for dry to normal skin because it doesn’t leave your skin feeling like it’s been stripped away. I use this twice a day, and it’s really great for removing makeup too. I’ll use micellar water to get the base level of makeup off, but this cleanser is always used afterwards to really clean and perfect my skin. I also love CeraVe because it’s recommended by lots of dermatologists but is still very affordable!

Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Gel Moisturizer: This moisturizer is incredible. It smells like oranges and is so refreshing. I haven’t used this in awhile because I’ve been using the moisturizer I’m going to share with you next, but I definitely want to get my hands on this again. I have dry/normal skin, so this product always feels so good when I put it on because it hydrates my skin and leaves it moisturized.

CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion: This is another one of my favorite CeraVe products. It’s super lightweight but still leaves your face feeling so good and hydrated afterwards. The bottles says that you can use it at nighttime but I use it morning and night. Another thing I really like about this (and the brand in general) is that it’s all oil free.

Glossier Solution: I’ve gone through maybe four bottles of this exfoliator, and I truly do notice a difference when I use it. It feels like it really takes anything gross off of my skin and leaves it smooth. I listened to a podcast where a cosmetologist spoke and she said that exfoliating is super important because it allows your moisturizer to work even better. It honestly makes a lot of sense, and I like knowing that I’m taking care of my skin in multiple ways while using one product.

Glossier Invisible Shield: SPF is so important and needs to be worn daily, regardless if you’re in the sun or not. This is my all time favorite sunscreen for my face. It never leaves any white marks and goes on so smoothly. I can immediately put my makeup on over it and it doesn’t affect the way it looks at all. Plus, it smells like lemons. Who doesn’t want a fresh smelling sunscreen?

I hope you guys enjoyed this post! I’m currently back in New York and doing the fourteen day quarantine since I came from Washington so I have a lot of free time on my hands. I’m going to be getting a lot of content creating done for you so keep an eye on this space. Hope you’re all well!

Talk to you soon!
